Tokyo Mew Mew Season 2: 2

Ichigo awoke in a cold sweat, tremors traveling up and down her body. She reached out a shaky hand toward her desk searching for her clock. She needed to know what the time was. 7:00 she still had a bit of time before school. As she rose shakily from her bed and stumbled for her dresser she thought back on the dream. It had been the same one she had been having for a week now but this time it had seemed particularly real and terrifying. His voice had sounded so close and sad.
“You must live! It’s not time to follow me.”
Masaya. He had sounded so furtive but she could tell that he was struggling to keep desire out of his voice. In truth she was certain he wanted her to join him but he didn’t want her to die. Masaya. How long had it been since the accident? One month? Two? She had lost count.
She tried to turn her attention away from the dream and focused on dressing and getting ready for another day. She glanced at the clock again as she hurried from the room. 7:15. She was making good time then. Suddenly she stopped and glanced back into the room. A jeweled handle had caught her attention, poking out of a drawer in her dresser. The trembling began again. It had been a long time since she had seen that handle and even longer since he had last held it. The eyes from her dream flashed across her vision. She would have recognized them anywhere. His eyes.
“Kisshu”
She whispered his name with trembling lips. Another boy who had died to save her life. Another boy she had loved. Yes she realized that since then. How fickle her heart was to have loved two boys at the same time. Maybe that was why fate had taken them out her life. And out of their own. She thought letting the tears flow fresh down her face.
“Ichigo you’re going to be late if you don’t hurry!” her father yelled up the stairs.
She swallowed the tears forcing her voice to be level.
